What is IDD1526 service?
IDD1526 allows subscriber to made budget IDD calls from registered fixed, fax, or mobile numbers. We offer two service plans under Business & Consumer with different calling rates and quality to suit subscribers.

How do I subscribe to the service?
You may use any of the following methods.
1) Use our on-line subscription form available at web site www.shinetown.com.sg to register on-line.
2) Download the subscription form from website to fill up and fax or mail back to us.
3) Call to our customer service hotline at 6838 1526 to ask for a copy of the subscription form. Fill it up and fax or mail back to us.

What are the difference between the two service plans?
We offer two different service plans under Business Plan & Consumer Plan to suit different needs of the subscribers.
1) Business Plan - This service plan is designed to provide big saving and yet quality calls. The plan is for business users who need to make quality calls and faxes from office or home. However, consumer users who are looking for better quality service plan.
2) Consumer Plan - This service plan is designed to provide excellent bargain with reasonable quality of lines to users. The calling rates are the cheapest among the service plans. Recommended only to residential users.

Is there any registration or monthly subscription fee if I subscribe to this service?
NO. The registration of this service is FREE. You can subscribe as many phone lines or mobile to this service as you like. There is NO monthly subscription fee involved as well. We only charge you on the calls that you have made.

Do I need to pay a security deposit for subscribing to the service?
If you are a Singaporean/PR below 18 years old, or foreigner holding Employment Pass, S-pass, Work Permit, Student Pass or any other kind of Social Visit Pass holder to Singapore, we will require a minimum SG$100 security deposit from you. The deposit is refundable upon your termination of the service and after clearing all your outstanding balance.

Will I be bonded with any contract by subscribing to your service?
NO. You may terminate this service at time with one month advance written notification to us.

Will the subscription to your service affect my others existing services on the phone line or mobile?
NO. Activation of our service on you lines is instantaneous and seamlessly. There is no installation required and will not affect any of your existing services.

How do I use the service?
Just dial 1526 + Country Code + Area Code + Tel no. from the phone lines or mobile that subscribed to our service, you will be able to call most of the overseas countries instantly. Much similar to how you are using the IDD service from your phone line or mobile provider at the moment.

How will I be billed?
We will bill you on monthly basis for the calls that you have made on previous month. All call details, comprise of time, date, duration, number called and number calling from will be listed on the bills. Normally, bills will be sent out on the 10th of every month. You have two weeks to settle the bills before the due date.

How do I pay the bills?
We provide a few methods for your convenience in payment.
1) Online - You may pay online via e-payment using VISA or MASTER credit card.
Cash - You may pay cash over the counters at the main branches of Singapore Post Office, or, alternatively pay at our office during office hours
(Mon-Friday: 9:00am~6:00pm).

* Please DO NOT send cash to us by Post. Please bring bills along when paying at Singapore Post Office.
3) Cheque - You may send cheque directly to us with the cheque crossed and made payable to Shinetown Telecom (S) Pte Ltd.
* Please DO NOT send Cash or Uncrossed Cheque to us. Please write your account no at the back of the cheque and enclose your Payment Slip
4) NETS - You may pay over the counters at the main branches of Singapore Post Office, or, alternatively pay at S.A.M. machines located Island wide.
5) GIRO - You may download a GIRO form from the web site. Fill it up and send the ORIGINAL COPY to our office address. Upon getting the approval from your bank, we will inform you and proceed to deduct the outstanding bills amount from your bank account automatically on 24th of every month.
6) Credit Card - You may pay over the counters at the main branches of Singapore Post Office, at our office, or, authorized us to charge the outstanding bills amount to your credit card automatically on 24th of every month.
* We accept only VISA or Master card. Please indicate your credit card details on the subscription form if you want us to charge to your credit card automatically every month.

How am I being charged for the calls?
You will only be charged for the calls that were connected successfully to the overseas countries. We will not charge you if the call is engaged or failed to be connected. However, when the call reached into overseas voice mail or announcement service, we may impose charges if the overseas operator is charging the call.

Would I be charged for local calls at the same time when I use this service to call overseas?
Our service is toll-free from fixed line, you will only be charged for the IDD calls made and billed by us. However, if you are calling from mobile, the prevailing local air-time charges from your service provider will apply through out the whole duration of call. Your mobile operator will bill the local air-time charges separately.
* Please check with your mobile service provider on the prevailing local air-time charges.

Will I be charged for IDD calls by my phone line or mobile service provider if I am using your service?
NO. Whenever you dial 1526 + , your calls will be re-routed to us instantly by your phone line or mobile service provider. The calls will subsequently pass through our infrastructure to overseas countries and thus recorded and billed by our system. However, if you continue to dial your existing service providers' IDD prefix, e.g. 0xx, you will then be using their IDD services, and being billed for the calls by them.

Why is there an overdue charge on my bills?
Overdue charges will incur if the outstanding of the bills was not settled for more than two months. Please refer to terms and conditions under IDD1526 service.

Is there a credit limit on my account usage?
Generally, we impose a $200.00 credit limit on residential accounts. You may choose to increase your credit limit by paying more security deposit or pay immediately the current outstanding when reaching the credit limit. We may impose credit limit on corporate accounts on case to case basis.

Can I make IDD calls using this service from my mobile when I am in overseas with roaming service?
NO. IDD1526 can only be used in Singapore.
